About Our Purpose

The team at Excelsior have many years of experience working on refurbishment, redevelopments and new building in the UK, Ireland and overseas. With a strong site management force and an equally strong customer service ethos, with a focussed management team, Excelsior has quickly built up a reputation in London as the main contractor for new builds, difficult and/or heritage listed sites requiring refurbishment or redevelopment. Our management team has between them amassed over 70 years of experience dealing with these projects and local government work in social housing When we set out in 2018, our mission was to show people in London that as a main contractor we are not just interested in profits. We wanted to re-write the book on Main Contracting and lead the way in offering a new kind of service to our customers; one based on regular communication, real care and attention, friendly, honest advice, and proactive support every step of the way. We wanted to show London that as a main contractor we are interested in social needs, history and most important the tenant/owner.

JoJo Butt

Director

Jojo has over 35 years experience within the building industry in the UK. Over these thirty years he has been involved in the construction of Nursing homes, religious temples and banqueting halls, housing developments, Grade II Listed renovations in Midlands, Southeast and London Multiple high end houses in Swiss cottage, Notting Hill Gate, Kensington, Chelsea Multiple residential blocks of housing from 2 storey to 6 storey, including high end, Local Government Housing and Social housing. Jojo established Excelsior London Limited, he heads up the company taking a lead role in supply chain management, pre construction and enabling works and construction works and financial reporting. He attends all the weekly meetings on site and the monthly management and board meetings. He mentors the younger members of the team, teaching them the values and ethics of main contracting

Brian Brady

Director

Brian is a highly experienced Contracts manager. He has worked in London for six years, dealing with Social housing. He has completed extensive projects for Brent Housing Partnership, Wandsworth Council, Metropolitan Housing and Clarion Housing Group. He was also responsible for the refurbishment of the heritage listed Brooklands college, Weybridge Prior to returning to London, Brian, spent 20 years working in Australia, where he has worked on social housing in Brisbane, and Aboriginal Housing in rural New South Wales and far North Queensland. He has worked with tier one companies such as Lend Lease, John Holland, Mirvac and Thies He deals with all matters relating to Contracts both JCT and NEC3 and RIBA. He reviews all documentation and carries out weekly and monthly audits to ensure the quality Plans, construction plans and safety plans are all adhered to. He heads up our design teams on our design and build projects, constantly liaising with our consultants and our clients, ensuring the end project is what the client expected and within there budgets. George Ferar

Site Manager

George is a highly trained site manager having learned the industry whilst working in Germany for four years and the UK for six years where he has worked sole with the company directors on numerous projects He took the lead on our prestigious Chalk Lane Hotel project and the Derby projects. He is in control of the on site management and the on site document control. In addition to this he is currently getting involved with more project management under the supervision of Brian. This continual progressive development approach will ensure our succession planning and ensure the next generation of directors follow the same company ethos and motto as the previous directors.
